CARE has more than just dogs and cats.
Adopting an exotic pet is saving a life, too!

It's not only cats and dogs who find themselves homeless and in need of rescue. No pet animal is immune to being tossed out. They are taken to kill shelters and sometimes even let go in the woods. Survival rates are low in either of those scenarios.
CARE has several interesting and unique pets who found themselves on hard times. Alf, the Siberian Dwarf Hamster, is the perfect apartment pet.
Double the pleasure with Herc and Patter, a bonded pair of Guinea Pigs.
Figaro, a Rabbit, lost his loving home when his mom fell on hard times.
Then, there are our feathered friends, like Emerald, the Parakeet found outdoors with an overgrown beak. Jack, a Macaw with a potty mouth, and his Amazon brother Toby, lost their home when their owner passed away. |
