Description:
Lucy doesn't need to be fussed over. She just wants to be with you, and to know that you're there with her. Lucy doesn't trust easily, so she needs a person who will respect her and be willing to earn her trust. That person will be rewarded with a dog who will be dedicated to them for life! She does bond quickly with people once she knows they are trustworthy.

Lucy grew up in the country where she lived outside all the time with no fences. She lost that when her original owners lost their home. She would love to have the freedom of a country home once again. Lucy is housetrained and does not chew things she's not supposed to. She does enjoy coming inside and laying at her person's feet. A fenced yard with a doggie door would also suit her.

Lucy is terribly unhappy in foster care because there are so many other animals. She would really prefer to be the only dog or have one other calm doggie friend. We cannot offer that to her in foster care because there is no such thing as a foster home with no other dogs or just one calm doggie! We want Lucy to be happy, so we are hoping someone will adopt her ASAP! Are you Lucy's forever person?

Is the Border Collie right for me?
