Patch
Patch

Patch now goes by the name Henry, and he has a Guinea Piggie buddy named Crumpet. Henry's mom Emily says,

"I am so happy. I feel so lucky to have found Henry. He is SUCH a love. He absolutely loves to snuggle! I have never experienced a guinea pig that will lay on his side in your lap and snuggle in and actually fall asleep. He's like a cat! And he's already demanding treats (loudly) whenever he hears the refrigerator door... Thanks for helping him find his way to me :)"

In this picture, Henry and Crumpet are cuddling together in mom Emily's lap.

Hailie
Hailie

When Hailie came in to the group, all the CARE volunteers wanted to foster her. She is so sweet, and who wouldn't love those ginormous ears? Hailie had us all worried for a long time about her health. She kept bleeding from her nipples, and it didn't seem to be getting any better with antibiotics. The Drs. feared she might have cancer. Finally, it was found that her hormones were just out of whack, and the right antibiotic was found to make her better. As soon as Hailie was healthy, she was adopted right away! Understandable because she truly is irresistable.

Missy
Missy

We pulled Missy from a local kill shelter. She was spared from euthanasia past the normal deadline because she was a favorite of the staff there. They knew rescue would come, and we are so glad we did! Missy now has another German Shepherd sister to play with. Her forever family takes regular camping trips, and Missy will get to enjoy those with them from now on.

Riddick (blind)
Riddick (blind)

"Riddick is a marvelous dog! He has his quirks (thay all do) but, on the whole, he's a goofy lot of fun. He's become very affectionate. His favorite thing to do is to sit on my feet in the morning and sort of doze while I scratch his chest and chin after he eats his breakfast. Touch is important to blind dogs and he's learned to like lots of touching, sitting on feet, joining Sassy in making a 'dog pile'.

Riddick has been a wonderful addition to our family! He worked to make sure he fit in, has learned lots of new things, and has adapted beautifully. He's turned into a big, goofy teddy bear of a dog. He seems to know this is his forever home and I know that every day he is grateful for his family here. And every day we are glad we gave Riddick a chance."

Lovey
Lovey

Lovey and his two brothers were found by a CARE volunteer. She took them home and gave them food and shelter - oh, and lots of love. Now, Lovey is giving and getting love from his proud new mom. He now goes by Dude because his mom says he just seems like a Dude. She also thinks he looks like a Waldo or Alvin, and says he doesn't mind having all kinds of different names. Congratulations, Lovey Dude, on your forever home!
