ABOUT US:
Cullen's Archangel RescuE, Inc. (CARE) was started in late 2003 for the protection and rescue of animals in need. Our mission is to educate the community, help animals in need, decrease the amount of strays in our community, provide shelter for animals that are in need of adoption, and even those that are non-adoptable.
ADOPTION DAYS AND EVENTS:
We usually hold an indoor adoption day at SuperPetz on Decker Blvd. in Columbia, SC on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Please call us ahead to be sure we'll be there.

DONATIONS & VOLUNTEER WORK
- CARE needs volunteers for animal transports, foster homes, adoption days, home visits, and fundraisers.
- CARE is always in need of pet food, toys, bowls, collars, leashes, beds, towels, blankets, and crates.
- CARE needs funds to cover medical bills for animals we take in. Each animal needs to get spayed/neutered, tested, vaccinated, and some even need to be treated for heartworms before they can be adopted to their forever families.

Normally, we do not look for rescues because they always find us. We would like to help every animal in need, but unfortunately we are operating out of private foster homes and they are limited. We can only take animals from kill shelters or directly from the streets. We cannot take in animals from individuals. Please look at our list of adoptables if you are interested in adopting a new family member. For every pet that gets a loving home, another baby is able to be saved. We are desperately seeking volunteers, foster homes, and donations. Every dollar helps, every foster home saves a life, every pair of hands can heal.
Our animals are looking for a Forever Family. If you are interested in adopting any of our pets in need you will be required to fill out our adoption form and return it to us. We will review your application and get back with you promptly. Once approved, we will set up a time we can come for a home visit.
Adoption fees are required and non-refundable. Adoption fees may vary according to the animal's breed, age, species, and/or the expenses involved. Typically the fee only covers a small portion of their vet exam, vaccines, testing, medications, and neuter.
We prefer that you do not declaw any cat or kitten for many reasons, but we do not have a "No Declaw Policy". Instead, we ask that you educate yourself on the pro's and con's of declawing and the current alternatives available (like Soft Paws). Please discuss this and pricing with your veterinarian as well. If you need help in researching this, please ask us.
Out of state adoptions are possible & sometimes we can help with transporting. Adoption fees can be mailed to us at the P. O. Box above or by using the PayPal Button above (see "Donations &..."). Thank you!
NOTE: If you are interested in a pet on our site, please check under the animal's picture for a phone number and/or email address. Use this info. to contact the foster parent. If you do not get a response within two days, please contact us at the email address below. We are all volunteers. Many of us work, volunteer, foster, and some of us have children, so our time is usually maxed out. If you call and leave a message for any of us, please let us know what time is "too late" to call you back. Thank you!
